Youth Ceramic Classes

Discover the joy of working with clay in our new Youth Ceramic Class at Artworks Fine Art Studio in Potomac! Designed for students ages 6–12, this class introduces young artists to the fundamentals of ceramics in a fun, supportive environment. Whether your child is brand new to ceramics or has prior experience, our skilled instructor will guide them at their own pace. Beginners will focus on building strong foundations, while returning or advanced students can refine techniques and experiment with more complex forms.

Students will explore:

• Handbuilding techniques to shape and construct clay forms
• Trimming to refine creations
• Glazing methods to add color, texture, and finishing touches

Youth Ceramic Classes meet once a week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4:15 pm at Artworks in Potomac. Tuition is billed monthly—typically covering 4–5 sessions depending on the calendar. All class days follow the same format, so you can choose the schedule that works best for your family, or schedule a make-up class for any missed classes! See our FAQ page for more info. Adult and Teen Ceramic Classes

Artworks Fine Art Studio in Potomac invites you to explore the art of ceramics in our new program! Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, you’ll learn to create beautiful ceramic pieces through hand-building, wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing techniques with the guidance of a skilled instructor. We offer a welcoming, creative environment for artists of all skill levels, promising an engaging and rewarding experience. Beginners will focus on foundational skills, while experienced students can refine techniques and explore specific forms.

October 21st-November 25th, Every Tuesday from 6pm-8pm for Ages 13+ (6 Sessions)

Wednesday Session:
October 8th-November 12th, Wednesday’s from 6pm – 8 pm for Ages 13+ (6 Sessions)
