Class policies

Promptness

Drop off your child no earlier than fifteen minutes before the class starts. Timely arrival and prompt pickup are appreciated. Parents are kindly requested not to stay in the classroom during the session.

Tuition

Monthly tuition covers basic studio materials like newsprint paper, graphite pencils, erasers, and miscellaneous tools. Additional required materials can be purchased at the studio or elsewhere. Any supplies bought from us will be billed with your monthly tuition.

Refunds

A full refund may be available if your child is unhappy after the first class. No refunds are issued thereafter unless Artworks asks a student to withdraw. Unused tuition will be refunded, excluding unpaid art supplies, missed or canceled classes and make-up classes.

Missed Class Policy | Cancellations | Makeup Classes

A courtesy class is granted only when a scheduled class is canceled in advance. You can cancel classes in the student portal up to 1 hour before begins to receive a makeup class. Absences without advance notice will not be eligible to receive a makeup class.

To Schedule Absences:

  1. Log in to your Student Portal
  2. Go to My Schedule
  3. Select the student and class you’d like to cancel
  4. Click View Student
  5. Select Absences
  6. Enter the date of the absence
  7. Choose the date/class time
  8. Submit

To Schedule Makeup Classes:

  1. Log in to your Student Portal
  2. Go to My Schedule
  3. Select the student and the class time you need a makeup for
  4. Click View Details
  5. Select Absences
  6. Choose Schedule Makeups
  7. Select from the available makeup class options
  8. Submit

Courtesy classes are scheduled in addition to, not in place of, a regular class. Tuition for the current month must be received before scheduling a courtesy class, and once scheduled, it cannot be rescheduled. Courtesy classes cannot be credited toward account balances and cannot be scheduled during a month without paid tuition.

Pausing Enrollment

To Drop a Class (48 hour notice required): 

  • Log into Student Portal 
  • Select “Classes” under Santiago’s name on dashboard 
  • Click the three dot symbol in top right corner 
  • Select “Request Drop”
  • Fill out prompt to dropclass

The monthly tuition is non-refundable if we do not receive notice to stop payment at least two business days prior to the first of the month. As long as we have a two-day notice, we will be able to approve that request!
